May 18th Membership Mtg – Birdwatching in Maine

The Rangeley Region Guides’ & Sportsmen’s Association will hold its monthly membership meeting and potluck supper at the RRG&SA clubhouse on May 18, 2017 at 5:30 PM.

We are pleased to welcome, author and birding expert, Derek Lovitch. Derek had been scheduled to speak at our February meeting but one of our winter blizzards prevented travel to Rangeley. Because so many folks were interested in this program, we were eager to re-schedule his presentation. Derek’s presentation will highlight all that birdwatching in Maine has to offer as detailed in his recently published new book, “Birdwatching in Maine”. His writing has also appeared in Birding magazine, as well as Bird Watcher’s Digest, and Bird Observer. Derek wrote the text and designed the Birds of the Maine Backyard folding guide. His new book will be available for purchase for those who are interested.

The public is always welcomed to attend our potluck dinners and educational programs. Dinner begins at 5:30 pm, followed by a short business meeting and then the presentation.
