OQUOSSOC – Shirley Mae Kilpatrick House, 85, of Rumford Road, passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2022 with her family by her side. Shirley was born in Newburgh, New York on March 22, 1937, the daughter of the late William Henry and Louise (Taylor) Kilpatrick. She attended schools in Newburg, playing in the school’s band. She graduated with the Class of 1955. On December 22, 1956, she married Walter Neal House and they started their journey in life together
MADRID – Madeline Savage Haines of Madrid, born March 14, 1944, aged 78, passed away on September 11, 2022 of a heart attack at Franklin Memorial after a long illness. She was preceded by her parents; Virgil Savage and Yvette Mumford. Her siblings; Frederick, Sidney, Francis, Raynold, and Georgianna. As well as her cherished son Brad Ferguson and beloved Son-In-Law Richard Parker. She is survived by her children; Terri Parker, Sharri Justard, Stephen Haines, Brandon Haines, and Miyka Haines
TEMPLE – It is with deep sadness that Barbara passed away peacefully on September 19, 2022 in Temple after a courageous battle with cancer, with her family beside her. Barbara was born on March 2, 1957 in Waterville, to Arthur and Eleanor Clark. Upon graduating from Messalonski High School (’75), Barbara pursued a degree in Mathematics with a teaching certificate from Colby College (’80). Her teaching degree led her to Rangeley Lakes Regional School where she met her husband of 41 years, Dean Collins, who was teaching in Rangeley and in the process of joining the U.S. Navy
PHILLIPS – David Watson Leitch, 86, of Phillips, and Ocala, FL, passed away peacefully on Aug. 12, 2022 with his loving family by his side. Dave was born in Lawrence, Mass., and raised in Weymouth, Mass., where he met his high school sweetheart and devoted wife of 66 years, June Priscilla Badger.

A graveside service for Danny L. Scribner, of Phillips, who passed away on November 20, 2021, will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at 1 pm, at the New Eustis Cemetery in Eustis, Maine. Rev. OQUOSSOC – Susan Koob, 66, of Oquossoc, passed gracefully, Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2022 at her winter home in Stuart, Fla. with her family at her side following a long and courageous battle with cancer. Originally from Connecticut, Susan moved with her family to Camp Antlers in Oquossoc as a young girl
PHILLIPS – On Friday, Feb. 18, 2022, Tyler Michael Thorndike passed away at his residence in Phillips at the age of 29. A known joker and comical character, it was no surprise to see him with the biggest smile on his face. He was always happy to be around his friends and family and everyone that knows him knows just how talented he was at making people smile and feel better, regardless of their situation
