Sky Program

The Wilhelm Reich Museum will host another “Sky Program” on February 13th from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at its Conference Center on Dodge Pond Road in Rangeley. Using an 8SE NexStar Computerized Telescope, participants will learn about the telescope, filters, and lenses, view planets, stars and the moon. They will also learn about the constellations, and how to view the night sky with binoculars. The program takes place outside in the cold so participants need to dress warm which means dress in layers, two pair of mittens, two pair of stockings, a hooded parka, insulated boots, and a warm scarf.

A Ladies/ Community Breakfast is held in Rangeley or Quossoc at differing locations on the first and third Wednesdays of the month.

The next Community Breakfast with everyone invited to attend will be on Wednesday, January 4th, at BMC Dinner from 7:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Bring your whole family and enjoy a fabulous breakfast. Hope to see you there.

Hands -on- Activity- Table

A Hands- On Children’s Activity Area, Compliments of The Wilhelm Reich Museum’s Discovery Room, at the Rangeley Inn on Saturday January 21st, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. as a part of Rangeley’s Snodeo.

There will be a Jump & Slide, Ball Tent, Snowflake craft, Tye dye shirts that you can keep, a microscope, stethoscopes, prism, magnet and hook games, static tubes, and more. There will be all kinds of fun things from the museum’s Discovery Room.

“A Holiday Invitation” by The Rangeley Community Chorus

On Wednesday, December 7th, “A Holiday Invitation” by The Rangeley Community Chorus will be held at The Church of the Good Shepherd. A wonderful evening of music directed by Sue Downes-Borko, the program will include some traditional carols such as “O Come, O Come, Emmanuel” and Night of Silence written in 1984 by Daniel Kantor. It will be an evening of exciting pieces that will fill the church with beautiful music, excitement and joy. The 23 member chorus will be accompanied by Andrea Keirstead. Tickets ($10) will be available at the door on the 7th. The program will begin at 7PM.
