The Rangeley region’s skeet and trap shooting range is located on Bald Mountain in Oquossoc.
The Rangeley Region Skeet and Trap Association shoots sporting clays and trap at its Bald Mountain range. The course is located at the end of the Old Skiway Road in Oquossoc and is open to the public. The season runs from May through October.
Trap is shot at 1:00 p.m. on Sundays, women’s trap is shot on Wednesday from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. The trap course is the traditional 5 stands. Sporting clays are shot three times a week: Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The range consists of a 26 station course surrounded with 15 adjustable traps. Three types of clay targets are used to simulate a wide variety of hunting shots. Guns and shells are available for use. Instructors are available for help. Annual individual or family membership: $35. Non-members welcome.

I have a legal 12 gage in New York State. Are there any requirements for me to bring it to Rangeley for skeet shooting?
