RFA Art Show on August 2nd

RFA ART SHOW
The annual Art in August show sponsored by the RFA will be August 2 from 10am to 4pm.
It will be located on Lakeside Park in downtown Rangeley.  There will be around 40 fine artists
and fine craftsmen selling their works. There will be paintings, originals and prints,
photography, jewelry, fiber art, woodworking, pottery, glass.....
This is a juried art show, and this is reflected in the high quality of the work available.
The show is also a judged show giving cash prizes in two categories, 2 D and 3 D art.
Come and join us on Lakeside Park to support the arts directly, by enjoying the displays
and perhaps purchasing a piece of local Maine talent to decorate your home or camp.
The show will be held rain or shine.

Outdoor Sporting Heritage Days – Tuesday, August 14th in Oquossoc

“A celebration of Maine’s sporting life”, is what members of the Rangeley Region Guides and Sportsmen’s Association call Outdoor Sporting Heritage Day. They will host this outdoor celebration for the 16th consecutive year on Tuesday, August 14th from 9:00 to 4:00 at their clubhouse on Old Skiway Road in Oquossoc. Modeled after an old fashioned frontier rendezvous, it features fishing, hunting and trapping with 25 sporting and conservation exhibitors, educational lectures and demonstrations, activities for youngsters, archery and shotgun demonstrations.

RFA Street Dance

The RFA Street Dance will be July 25th on Main Street from 6:30 – 10:00pm.  The Band will be Scott and Joe and Friends – playing music from the Beatles to the Stones.  We will also have the Middle Eastern Dance Troupe “Scherezade” performing for us.  Come dance in the streets!  Fun for young and old alike!

RRGSA & Rangeley to host State of Maine 2012 Moose Lottery Drawing

RANGELEY SELECTED TO HOST 2012 MOOSE LOTTERY DRAWING – SATURDAY, JUNE 23, 2012 @ 4PM. Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife commissioner Chandler Woodcock announced in June that Rangeley was selected to host the 2012 moose lottery drawing. Since 1999, the moose lottery drawing has been held at different locations around Maine, including Millinocket, Boothbay Harbor, Old Town, Bucksport, Scarborough, Presque Isle, Rumford, Phippsburg, Kittery, Fort Kent, and Freeport
