Natural Science Program at Reich Museum returns

RANGELEY – We are announcing the return of the Natural Science Program at the Wilhelm Reich Museum in Rangeley. Join us this summer for a series of excellent speakers from near and far. All presentations are on Sundays from 2-4 p.m.

01/24/2019 – Snodeo 2019

The Rangeley Lakes Snowmobile Club welcomes you to our Snodeo 2019, January 24-26. Events start with The Chili Chowder Cook-off sponsored by the Rangeley Lakes Chamber of Commerce, Thursday January 24 at The Gingerbread House in Oquossoc, at 5 pm. Followed by The RLSC Casino night at 6:30 pm at Bald Mountain Camps in Oquossoc.

Friday January 25, starts with pre-registration for the return of Rock Maple Racing Cross- Country Race and the Tame the Track Tour Snowmobile Races. Registration at Steven Bean Municipal Airport, at 6:30 pm. Pre-registrations available online at rockmapleracing.com and tamethetracktour.com. Friday evening at 6:30- 9pm is our annual Live Auction featuring Larry Koob at Snodeo Headquarters Moose Alley. All proceeds from the auction directly go to the grooming operations for the RLSC.

Saturday January 26, is filled with events for all ages. Starting with the Race at Stephen A. Bean Municipal Airport, Saturday, at 6:30am with registration for The Rock Maple cross country race, and the Tame the Track Tour. Gates to the public will open at 8am. The Rock Maple Cross Country Race will be a 5 mile event, and the Tame the Track Tour Snowmobile Race (Vintage & 120cc) will be 1/3 mile track. Ticket prices are $10/per person. Children under 12 are free. Parking is free. All proceeds from this event go directly to the club grooming funds. Racers interested in either event are strongly encouraged to pre-register at the airport on Friday evening 1/25 at 6:30pm. Interested racers can contact RMR at rockmapleracing.com and Tame the Track Tour at tamethetracktour.com. Vendors will be set up in the area adjacent to the race. The Wilhelm Reich Museum with be hosting children hands on table at the Masonic Lodge in downtown Rangeley from 10-2. Following the race, Boss Power, along with RLSC as a sponsor, is again hosting the Ravex Jumpers starting at 2pm, Boss Power parking lot, main st. Rangeley. “A Thank You to Snowmobilers” Parade will be held with a line up at the Rangeley Inn at 5pm. Parade sleds are encouraged to be decorated as Red/ White/ and blue. Awards held for youth, vintage, Best float, best decorated. This parade will go from Rangeley Inn thru town to Town and Lake Motel, soon followed by Fireworks display over the lake. 08/20/2018 – Square Dance Party

Rangeley, Maine . . . Square Dance Party at The Wilhelm Reich Museum’s Conference Center, Dodge Pond Road, Rangeley , Monday August 20th at 7:00 to 9 p.m. No experience or reservations necessary. National Caller and Rangeley resident, Red Bates, will teach all the moves. Families and singles welcome. Casual dress.
